Job Description
We are a growing independent insurance agency looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Licensed Insurance Account Manager / Agent to join our team. This role includes a mix of customer service, policy servicing, and new business support, with opportunity for growth as the agency expands.
We are opening a small office in Ava, Missouri while continuing to operate remotely in Oregon, and are looking for someone who can help support daily operations and provide excellent service to our clients.
- Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with policy changes, billing questions, and coverage reviews
- Process endorsements, certificates, and policy updates
- Follow up on renewals, cancellations, and underwriting requests
- Handle incoming calls, texts, and emails in a timely and professional manner
- Quote and write new business (home, auto, and small commercial)
- Maintain accurate notes and documentation in agency management system
- Work independently and stay on top of assigned tasks without constant supervision
- Requirements:
- Active Property & Casualty insurance license (or willing to obtain)
- Prior insurance experience preferred (but willing to train the right person)
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced workload
- Reliable attendance and consistent work schedule is required
- Comfortable working remotely and managing workload independently
- Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly pay based on experience ($17–$22/hour)
- Commission opportunities on new business
- Flexible work environment (remote with potential in-office hours in Missouri)

- Monday–Friday
- Afternoon availability preferred (coverage needed later in the day)
