The Manager, Market Analysis & Intelligence will join the Mission Systems Strategy & Transformation organization and provide key inputs and analysis that will support strategic planning and decision-making.
Using strong data analysis and data visualization skills, and working collaboratively across the business, the Manager, Market Analysis & Intelligence will manage robust market datasets and develop market and industry forecasts, and strategic competitive intelligence related to defense and government segments. Responsibilities • Use data science and data analysis skills to leverage a range of datasets and resources, including the U.S. Defense budget documents and third-party market sources, to produce a comprehensive analysis of the Mission Systems segments.
• Continually refine and manage this data, and partner with the Mission Systems portfolios to support their evolving market forecasting needs. • Employ data visualization tools to align market data to other key business data and produce actionable analyses. • Work collaboratively across Mission Systems, as well as with Collins and RTX, to improve analysis, process and methods and help drive alignment across the organization. • Maintain a strong understanding of the federal budget and procurement process and help drive insights from legislative, procurement, and geopolitical updates.
• Track and monitor updates from customers, partners and peers in the defense market and provide analysis on how it may impact Mission Systems programs, opportunities and strategies. • Manage special project requests related to segment data and peer intelligence. Requirements • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience. • U.S.
citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract. • Experience with market research methods, databases and tools and a track record of producing market segmentation and forecasts using various sources of data. • Expertise with bolthires Excel, including pivot tables and other embedded tools. • Proficiency in PowerPoint and the ability to produce executive-level presentations. • Understanding of defense markets, procurement and the US defense budget process.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines while maintaining high standards for research quality and analysis. • 2+ years prior experience in the US Defense Industry.
