- *Overview:** We are seeking a highly experienced Consulting Manager with a manufacturing engineering background to join our management consulting team. As a Manufacturing Consulting Manager, you will lead cross-functional initiatives that evaluate, develop, and improve manufacturing methods, processes, and systems. This role requires a strategic leader with deep expertise in design and implementation of manufacturing productivity and efficiency improvements. **Responsibilities:** β’ Lead Manufacturing Process Redesign: Analyze and re-engineer workflows to improve performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency β’ Optimize Bills of Materials (BOMs): Ensure BOM accuracy and standardization; reduce SKUs and enhance material traceability β’ Support ERP/MRP System Integration: Maintain data integrity for BOMs, routings, and production data to enable effective planning and inventory control β’ Standardize Components and Processes: Identify and implement standardization across product lines to reduce complexity and cost β’ Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with engineering, supply chain, finance, and operations to align design with manufacturing capabilities and cost targets β’ Drive Manufacturing Cost Analysis: Analyze material, labor, and overhead to support cost reduction and make-vs-buy decisions β’ Lead Lean and Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Conduct value stream mapping and apply Lean, Six Sigma, or 5S methodologies to eliminate waste and improve efficiency β’ Optimize Production Routing and Capacity Planning: Improve routing sequences, cycle times, and assess plant capabilities for layout and resource planning β’ Develop and Maintain Documentation: Create and manage work instructions, process flows, and support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) β’ Ensure Compliance and Support Quality: Monitor production data, support root cause analysis, and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards β’ *Qualifications:** β’ 8+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, product design and new product introduction, corporate strategy, management consulting, or enterprise transformation β’ Experience in consumer products and/or industrials industries β’ Experience within our core industry focus: consumer goods, food and beverage, industrials, and manufacturing β’ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field β’ Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, assembly, welding, etc.) and equipment β’ Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis tools β’ Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) and ERP/MRP systems β’ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills β’ Excellent communication and collaboration abilities β’ Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive-level presentation experience β’ *Benefits:** β’ Competitive compensation package β’ Flexibility in your schedule, empowering you to balance life's demands β’ Total rewards package Learn more at β’ Accommodation for applicants with disabilities available upon request β’ RSM does not tolerate discrimination and/or harassment based on protected characteristics β’ Discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance Apply tot his job
