Job Description
DCA is a fast-growing progressive international consumer products engineering and manufacturing company located in Cupertino, CA. They are seeking a Manufacturing Product Engineer who will be involved in customer relationships, collaborative development, and work closely with offshore engineering and manufacturing teams. The role requires experience in product development in a high-volume manufacturing environment, focusing on motors, gearboxes, and related modules.
Responsibilities
- Join a fast-growing progressive international consumer products engineering and manufacturing company, located in Cupertino, CA as a full-time employee in the position of Manufacturing Product Engineer
- You will be heavily involved with customer relationships, collaborative development, and work closely with off shore engineering, manufacturing and management teams, and share priorities and goals
- Your experience should include product development in a high-volume manufacturing environment, with automated assembly processes using MIM, CNC, sheet metal and plastics design and manufacturing processes, using skills with FMEA, CP, CPX and GD&T
- You will have the work experience to understand complex mechanical assemblies, design mechanical systems and components, and have strong root cause analysis, deductive reasoning, and FMEA skills
- Candidate will be required to do some international travel
Skills
- 1-4 years of manufacturing engineering and product management experience in the consumer products arena involving development of motors, gearboxes and related modules (steppers, BLDC, etc.)
- Product development in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Automated assembly processes using MIM, CNC, sheet metal and plastics design and manufacturing processes
- Skills with FMEA, CP, CPX and GD&T
- Understanding of complex mechanical assemblies
- Design mechanical systems and components
- Strong root cause analysis, deductive reasoning, and FMEA skills
- BSME, or related degree
- 1-4 years of engineering, design and manufacturing of mechanical systems and components and related product management experience in automated high-volume manufacturing and assembly processes
- Candidates must be US Citizens, have US Green Card, or current H1-b visa holders
- Currently live in the Silicon Valley area
- Ability to commute to Cupertino, CA 95014
- Willingness to travel: 25%
- Design and manufacturing of electric motors: 1 year
