They are seeking a Manufacturing Project Engineer I to design and implement manufacturing processes and equipment, focusing on medium to large scale projects while collaborating with various teams to drive improvements and ensure safety compliance. Responsibilities Support project teams on the successful commercialization and start-up of new equipment and processes Partner with operations, RD&I, quality, maintenance, and supply chain functions to drive improvements Interface with design, product engineering, supply chain, and other business partners on the design for manufacturability and process capability of new products or product extensions Support and influence recommendations regarding the viability of developed design solutions that relate to new or current processes Actively participate in cross-functional team meetings, kaizens, and Process System Design events Demonstrate knowledge of DMAIC tools: Process mapping, process capability, C&E Matrix, fishbone diagram, FMEA, MSA, DOE, Control Plans Develop specifications to procure production equipment and/or complete production lines Partner with the Safety group to ensure all new or modified processes meet or exceed corporate safety requirements Create training tools, documents and standard operating procedures for production processes ensuring consistent manufacturability Introduce new perspectives on existing solutions to continuously improve production and material flow processes Skills 4-year degree in Engineering or Technology Equipment procurement experience Project management skills Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles Knowledge of quality systems, SPC and process capability Positive attitude with a desire to build relationships and serve both our internal and external customers Strong, proactive communicator, effective both 1:1 and in groups Ability to travel up to 40% A minimum of 1 year of engineering experience preferred, with mechanical aptitude Knowledge of 2D & 3D solid modeling preferred (AutoCad/Inventor) Benefits 401 (k) Plan, Employer Fixed Contributions & Company Matching Profit Sharing Medical, Dental and Vision Coverage Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), Health Savings Account (HSA) and Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) Life Insurance Paid Time Off & Paid Holidays Paid Maternity Leave & Paid Parental Leave
