Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first The Associate Vice President, Pharmacy Market Strategy & Client Services is a new position that is responsible for supporting the broad go-to-market and pricing strategy for Pharmacy’s new business ventures. This executive will be directly responsible for overseeing the development of a go-to-market strategy, developing market insights, using those insights to identify strategic partnerships that elevate the CenterWell brand in the market, and developing proposals and pricing for the opportunities. This role will also lead the team that manages the RFP process for potential new business ventures. The Associate Vice President will report directly to Aleata Postell, SVP of Pharmacy Business Development, and will lead a small organization of 5 direct reports. This position can be located anywhere within the lower 48 states and does not require relocation. Key Responsibilities + Development and execution of the overall go-to-market strategy, tactical plans, and processes to collaborate with Pharmacy leadership to drive growth + Identification of market trends and insights that can be turned into new growth opportunities for the Pharmacy organization + Pursuing partnership opportunities to bring strategic plan to life by highlighting and selling our value and diversified capabilities to new customers + Partnering with Marketing to craft and execute creative brand strategies that drive engagement and growth + Leverage analytics resources to determine pricing strategy to support new business sales + Partnering with Pharmacy Analytics and Consulting to further developing a payor-agnostic pharmacy analytics offering built around our pipeline and formulary + Driving preferred payor agreements with industry payors by creating a competitive pricing strategy + Partnering with account executives and their teams to progress pipeline by infusing industry expertise into account strategy, forming relationships with key executives, and helping shorten deal lifecycles by helping the team highlight the business value and competitive differentiators + Functioning as a key leader on the Business Development team, with the ability to be a strategic thought-partner and to synthesize and communicate complex ideas + Providing strategic leadership to a high-performing team of Pharmacy professionals; grow the team by recruiting, hiring, developing, and retaining high-caliber talent Use your skills to make an impact Key Candidate Qualifications In general terms, the ideal candidate will have deep experience the payor side of Pharmacy/Healthcare (typically 10+ years). They would have a proven record of success in delivering significant and quantifiable growth and financial results. Finally, this person will be a strong leader of people with proven success in expanding and elevating the capabilities and performance of a multi-level team. In addition to the above, the following professional qualifications and personal attributes are also sought: + 10 or more years of technical experience (Healthcare Industry and Specialty Pharmacy specific experiences is required) + 8 or more years of management experience + Master's Degree preferred + Deep specialty and pharmacy experience + Strong formulary pricing and analytics background + Strong analytical mindset, with proficiency in leveraging data for strategy development, market penetration decision-making, and post execution performance tracking, and optimization + Experience working with marketing and creating market strategies + Experience supporting RFPs with Manufacturers and Payors + Experience with overarching clinical strategy and/or programs + Experience leading sales + Knowledgeable about service delivery in pharmacy business- understands natural tension between ops and strategy Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required. Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Pay Range The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $203,400 - $279,800 per year This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
