We’re expanding our omnichannel marketplace team and looking for a Marketplace Ad Manager who lives and breathes Walmart, Chewy, and Tractor Supply.

The Role

As a Marketplace Ad Manager, you will own paid media strategy and execution for brands across Walmart Connect, Chewy, and Tractor Supply. You’ll turn ad platforms into growth engines—planning, launching, and optimizing campaigns to hit aggressive revenue and profitability goals while collaborating with a cross-functional team of marketplace, creative, and operations experts.

This is a hands-on role: you’ll be inside the platforms daily, building, analyzing, and iterating.

    What You’ll Do
  • Strategy & Planning
  • Develop channel-specific ad strategies for Walmart, Chewy, and Tractor Supply aligned with each brand’s goals (launch, scale, profitability, category domination).
  • Build account structures, testing roadmaps, and budgets across platforms.
  • Campaign Execution
  • Set up and manage Sponsored Products / display / search campaigns (as supported by each platform).
  • Conduct keyword and ASIN/item research, audience/placement planning, and promotional calendars.
  • Optimization & Performance
  • Monitor and optimize towards ROAS, TACOS, CPC, CTR, conversion rate, and true profitability.
  • Run structured tests (bids, budgets, targets, creatives, placements) and translate findings into clear next steps.
  • Proactively identify issues (inventory, pricing, catalog, reviews) that impact ad performance and partner with internal teams to fix them.
  • Analytics & Reporting
  • Build clear, insight-driven reports and narratives for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Use data to tell the story: what happened, why it happened, and what you’re doing about it.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with marketplace ops/SEO, creative, and Partner Success to align ads with catalog, content, and inventory strategy.
  • Participate in client calls as the subject-matter expert for Walmart/Chewy/TSC media.
  • AI & Automation
  • Leverage internal tools and AI/automation where appropriate to manage bids, budgets, and insights more efficiently.
  • Continuously look for ways to build “machine-like” workflows that increase speed and consistency without losing strategic nuance.
    What You Bring
  • 2–4+ years of hands-on marketplace advertising experience, ideally including Walmart Connect; Chewy and Tractor Supply experience is a strong plus (or clear adjacent experience with similar retail media platforms).
  • Proven track record managing performance campaigns with meaningful monthly ad spend and clear revenue/ROAS goals.
  • Strong analytical skills: comfortable working in spreadsheets, segmenting data, and making decisions from incomplete information.
  • Solid understanding of marketplace fundamentals: item-level economics, inventory constraints, review/ratings impact, and how those intersect with ads.
  • Excellent communication skills: you can explain complex performance stories simply and credibly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a remote, fast-paced, high-accountability environment.

Pay: $60,237.47 - $72,544.05 per year
