About the position The Material Damage Telephone Claims Adjuster Consultant I position at National General involves reviewing and adjusting material damage and auto liability claims in a fully remote environment. The role requires a strong customer service mindset and effective communication skills to investigate claims, determine coverage and liability, and negotiate settlements within the authority limits. Responsibilities β€’ Investigate and confirm facts of loss for automobile accidents. β€’ Determine coverage, liability, and damages for claims. β€’ Negotiate claims within the limit of authority. β€’ Collaborate with fraud or subrogation representatives for claims involving fraud. β€’ Identify customer needs and provide appropriate service. β€’ Apply understanding of insurance policies and organizational relationships. β€’ Handle investigations regarding all aspects of auto claims. Requirements β€’ 4 year Bachelor's Degree (Preferred) β€’ 2 or more years of experience in claims adjusting (Preferred) β€’ Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
