About the position The Material Damage Telephone Claims Adjuster Consultant I position at National General involves reviewing and adjusting material damage and auto liability claims in a fully remote environment. The role requires a strong customer service mindset and effective communication skills to investigate claims, determine coverage and liability, and negotiate settlements within the authority limits. Responsibilities β’ Investigate and confirm facts of loss for automobile accidents. β’ Determine coverage, liability, and damages for claims. β’ Negotiate claims within the limit of authority. β’ Collaborate with fraud or subrogation representatives for claims involving fraud. β’ Identify customer needs and provide appropriate service. β’ Apply understanding of insurance policies and organizational relationships. β’ Handle investigations regarding all aspects of auto claims. Requirements β’ 4 year Bachelor's Degree (Preferred) β’ 2 or more years of experience in claims adjusting (Preferred) β’ Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
