Sonic is a company seeking an MDU Estimator to provide site surveys and bolthires evaluations for full building installations at MDU buildings. The role involves collaborating with Field Service Management and the MDU Sales team to facilitate decision-making on installation projects. Responsibilities Create, update, and maintain internal project estimates, maps, documents, graphic displays Maintain thorough working knowledge of applicable estimating processes Estimating time and materials for MDU Full Building Installs Establishing bolthires analysis Designing installation plans – experience with PowerPoint or adobe design Continuing to find creative installation methods to further expand Full Building Installs Customer/public/municipal interactions and relations/problem solving Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines Serving as a point of contact for MDU Foreman and Sales teams to ensure team actions remain in synergy Communicating with Field Service Management and MDU Sales Team to keep the project aligned with their goals Apply for and maintain permits Working with Plant when construction and Conduit leasing is needed Basic understanding of fiber cable types and GPON fiber design Ability to read and understand building blueprints Skills Smart, dedicated, and willing to learn; able to receive and implement ongoing feedback and coaching with a positive attitude Highly adaptable to an evolving environment Maintain highest level of discretion and confidentiality Ability to work independently with a high degree of autonomy and accountability, and ability to work cooperatively within a team Detail oriented with exceptional problem-solving and organization skills Effective oral and written communication skills Travel is expected for this position.
