The role involves applying engineering principles to support the design, analysis, and maintenance of mechanical systems, working under direct supervision to solve routine problems and conduct analyses related to new designs and materials. Responsibilities Applies engineering physics, engineering mathematics and materials science principles to support the design, analysis, manufacture or maintenance of mechanical systems Applies basic principles, theories, and concepts, limited industry knowledge Solves routine problems of limited scope and complexity, refers more complex issues to higher levels Works under direct supervision Performs routine design, fabrication, modification and evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical components, sub-systems and systems Conducts routine analyses and tests pertaining to the development of new designs, methods, materials or processes Completes required documentation and provide recommendations, as needed Skills Experience with working in a team environment Experience with bolthires Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Experience as an intern, support contractor, government staff, or industry staff Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems Knowledge of materials, fabrication techniques, or assembly Ability to effectively gather and analyze data Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems Ability to obtain a Secret clearance Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills Benefits Health Life Disability Financial Retirement benefits Paid leave
