Job Description
BPA is more than an engineering firm — it’s a passionate team shaping the buildings and infrastructure of tomorrow. They are seeking a driven Mechanical Technologist to help design mechanical building systems and gain hands-on experience through a comprehensive mentoring program.
Responsibilities
- Help design mechanical building systems for various projects for different sectors (institutional, office, commercial, cultural and residential)
- Work primarily on the layout of the applicable business sector
- Survey existing conditions under mentor’s supervision
- Help draw up plans in AutoCAD and Revit
Skills
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Building Science Technology
- Member of OACETT (or in process) an asset
- Any experience in consulting engineering, or other relevant experience is an asset, including internships
- Proficiency in AutoCad, Revit and Office 365 Suite
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Excellent communications skills, with a client focus & collaborative mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent organizational skills
- Eligibility to obtain a Canadian Reliability Status
- Availability to be Full-time in office for the first 6 months of employment
