Salary: $16-$22 per hour Medical Billing Assistant, Eligibility Spek Diagnostics Garden City, ID (On-site to start; potential for remote work) Spek Diagnostics is a growing pathology practice committed toaccurate diagnostics, efficient service, and exceptional patient care. We are seeking a Part-Time Medical Billing Assistant to join our team. This position will begin in our Boise office and may become eligible for remote work after an initial training period. Key Responsibilities β’ Review and enter new patient insurance information accurately into our system β’ Verify insurance eligibility and benefits β’ Route claims to the appropriate payers based on coverage and referral information β’ Investigate and resolve coverage issues β’ Contact referring offices or patients to obtain missing or corrected insurance information β’ Transmit claims in a timely and accurate manner β’ Answer patient billing inquiries and accept payments by phone β’ Troubleshoot billing errors and follow up on outstanding issues β’ Collaborate with internal team members and communicate clearly through email or chat tools Qualifications β’ Experience in medical billing or a related healthcare field preferred β’ Familiarity with insurance verification and claim submission processes β’ Experience using RXNT or similar medical billing software a plus β’ Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality β’ Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills β’ Comfortable speaking with patients and healthcare providers by phone β’ Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Position Details β’ Schedule: Part-time (flexible hours, approximately 2025 hours/week) β’ Location: Garden City, ID (on-site initially, with remote potential) β’ Compensation: $16$22 depending on experience β’ Growth: Potential for increased hours or responsibilities as the company grows If you are proactive, thorough, and interested in being part of a team that values accuracy and service, wed love to hear from you.
