- What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Accurately assign CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes for home health clinical encounters to ensure compliant billing
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency in a remote work environment
- Ensure all coding practices align with current facility and regulatory policies
- Participate in required on-site training sessions in Boardman, OH
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support patient care through accurate coding
- What is Required (Qualifications):
- Prior medical coding experience specifically in a Home Health setting
- Must hold a current coding certification (AAPC or AHIMA), such as CCS, CCA, CPC, RHIT, COC, ACA, or CIC
- Ability to commute to Boardman, OH for initial training
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Proven ability to work effectively in a remote environment
- How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with specialized coding for home health clinical encounters
- Familiarity with current facility and regulatory coding policies
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams
