As we expand our services in Dade City and surrounding areas, we are seeking a qualified Medical Director / Laboratory Director to provide leadership and oversight across our clinical and laboratory operations.
Position Overview
We are seeking a licensed Physician (MD or DO) to serve as both Medical Director and Laboratory Director. This role will provide clinical leadership, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the growth of our healthcare programs.
This is a flexible, part-time opportunity ideal for a physician interested in public health, community medicine, and nonprofit healthcare innovation.
- ResponsibilitiesClinical Oversight
- Provide medical direction for STD/HIV services and general patient care
- Develop and oversee clinical protocols and treatment guidelines
- Supervise nurse practitioners, clinical staff, and healthcare providers
- Ensure compliance with CDC and public health standards
- Review patient charts and provide clinical guidance
- Laboratory Oversight (CLIA)
- Serve as Laboratory Director for CLIA-waived testing services
- Ensure compliance with CLIA regulations and quality standards
- Oversee laboratory procedures, policies, and documentation
- Support lab inspections and quality assurance processes
- Program Development & Leadership
- Assist in developing new healthcare programs and services
- Support grant initiatives and clinical reporting
- Participate in quality improvement and compliance efforts
- Collaborate with leadership on strategic growth initiatives
- Qualifications
- MD or DO with an active Florida medical license
- Experience in primary care, infectious disease, urgent care, or public health preferred
- Familiarity with STD/HIV treatment guidelines
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn CLIA laboratory regulations
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills
- Interest in serving underserved and vulnerable populations
- Compensation
- Monthly stipend: (based on experience and scope)
- Flexible schedule (approximately 10–20 hours per month)
- Additional hourly compensation available for expanded services
