Job Description
We're looking for an experienced performance marketer to audit and clean up our Meta Ads and Google Ads accounts, fix any errors or measurement issues, then provide ongoing weekly reporting and recommendations. This is a light-touch role, we do not need daily campaign management.
Scope, Phase 1, Initial Audit and Fixes
You will review both platforms and implement fixes where possible (or provide clear instructions if fixes require our team). Please cover:
Meta Ads (Facebook, Instagram)
Pixel and CAPI setup, event quality, deduplication, match quality
Domain verification, AEM configuration, event prioritisation
Account structure, campaign and ad set settings, attribution, learning phase health
Tracking accuracy vs Shopify (or our ecommerce platform), key events and purchase reporting
Audiences, exclusions, overlap checks, retargeting setup
UTMs, naming conventions, reporting cleanliness
Any delivery issues, errors, warnings, or policy flags impacting performance
Google Ads
Conversion tracking setup and accuracy (Google Ads conversion tags, GA4 where applicable)
Merchant Center health (if applicable), feed quality, diagnostics, product approvals
Performance Max / Shopping structure and settings (if applicable)
Search campaign structure (keywords, match types, negatives, query hygiene)
Attribution, bidding strategy alignment with goals, budget allocation logic
Key errors, disapprovals, limited eligibility, or tracking gaps
Audit Deliverables
A concise audit summary (what is working, what is not, what you changed)
A prioritised action plan (high impact first)
Confirmation that tracking and measurement are correctly configured across both platforms
Scope, Phase 2, Weekly Reporting and Recommendations (Ongoing)
Each week we want:
Performance snapshot for Meta and Google (spend, revenue, ROAS, CPA, CPM/CPC, CTR, CVR, AOV where available)
Week-over-week commentary, what changed, what likely drove it
3–5 clear recommendations for the next week (tests, budget shifts, creative needs, targeting/bidding changes)
Early warnings (tracking anomalies, creative fatigue, delivery volatility, disapprovals)
Important Notes
This is not a day-to-day optimisation role. We want an expert to keep measurement clean, highlight issues early, and advise on next steps weekly.
Please do not apply if you only offer full-service ongoing management.
Requirements
Proven experience managing Meta Ads and Google Ads for ecommerce brands
Strong tracking and measurement capability (Pixel, CAPI, GA4, Google Ads conversions, Merchant Center)
Ability to communicate clearly, with concise written reporting and prioritised recommendations
To Apply, Please Include
A short summary of relevant ecommerce experience (budgets managed, platforms, outcomes)
Example of an audit deliverable or weekly report format (redacted is fine)
Your fixed price for the initial audit + fixes, and your ongoing weekly fee
Your estimated turnaround time once access is granted
Budget
Please propose:
Fixed fee for Phase 1 (audit + fixes)
Weekly retainer for Phase 2 (reporting + recommendations)
