Role: We are partnering with a leading telecommunications provider to deliver a critical network security project. This role focuses on Fortinet security technologies, ensuring robust protection for high-volume, carrier-grade networks. You will design, implement, and optimise security controls across complex environments supporting millions of customers.
Key Responsibilities: • Deploy, configure, and maintain Fortinet FortiGate firewalls for perimeter and internal segmentation. • Implement and tune Fortinet FortiWeb (WAF) for application-layer security across customer-facing portals. • Manage FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer for centralised policy management and logging. • Configure FortiAuthenticator for secure user identity and multi-factor authentication. • Optimise VPN solutions using Fortinet IPsec and SSL VPN for secure remote access. • Develop and enforce firewall policies, NAT rules, and advanced threat protection profiles.
• Integrate Fortinet solutions with SIEM and SOC workflows for real-time threat detection. • Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation strategies aligned with telecom compliance standards. Required Skills &
Experience: • 5+ years in network security engineering roles within large-scale or carrier-grade environments. • Hands-on experience with Fortinet FortiGate, FortiWeb, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiAuthenticator. • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, and telecom network architectures.
• Expertise in VPN technologies, IPS/IDS, and SSL inspection Nice to Have: • Fortinet NSE certification (NSE4 or higher). • Experience integrating Fortinet with orchestration tools or automation scripts (Python, Ansible). • Exposure to telecom OSS/BSS systems and carrier-grade security challenges.
