Job Description
We are a newly formed nonprofit organization, Motor-Vation Training Project, expanding from an established for-profit organization focused on inclusive movement programming for neurodivergent children and young adults.
Our 501(c)(3) status has been filed, and we are now seeking an experienced nonprofit governance and board development consultant to help structure our nonprofit properly and guide our next phase of growth.
We are specifically looking for someone with experience supporting early-stage public charities in building strong governance foundations.
We are seeking support with:
- Structuring the Board of Directors (roles, officer positions, committees)
- Designing staggered board terms
- Creating a board skills matrix and recruitment strategy
- Advising on how to identify and recruit meaningful, mission-aligned board members
- Clarifying governance boundaries between the for-profit and nonprofit entities
- Recommending essential governance policies (conflict of interest, board expectations, etc.)
- Developing a 12-month strategic roadmap for growth and infrastructure
