About the position
- Responsibilities
- Contribute to high-impact projects within the Network Security team.
- Enhance skills in operating systems such as Linux and Windows.
- Work with programming languages and frameworks including Python, Java, Javascript/Typescript, React, NodeJs, and NextJs.
- Assist in system administration and network management tasks, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Support database administration and management using Oracle SQL, MySQL, and MS SQL.
- Engage in information assurance and intrusion prevention activities.
- Participate in cloud security infrastructure and policy assessments.
- Help with data administration and security, including data classification and loss prevention.
- Assist in identity and access management tasks, including multi-factor authentication and directory services.
- Support incident response and management processes, including triage and root cause analysis.
- Contribute to external and internal network security initiatives.
- Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a qualifying bachelor's degree program at Northeastern University.
- Good academic standing.
- Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with machine learning, artificial intelligence, and robotic process automation.
- Experience with Ansible for software automation.
- Knowledge of cloud security standards and vendor assessments.
