Blazer Jobs is currently conducting interviews for an experienced School Social Worker to join a reputable school district in the Goodrich, MI area. This full-time, on-site position offers an excellent opportunity to make a lasting impact on students' lives while working with a supportive team of professionals.
Requirements:
- To be considered for this position, applicants must meet all local and state requirements, including:
- Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution
- Valid State of Michigan School Social Worker License (310 Approval)
- Prior school-based experience (preferred but not required)
- Ability to pass background check and fingerprinting clearance
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct counseling and support services to students
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop individualized plans
- Assist with crisis intervention and conflict resolution
- Conduct student assessments and maintain accurate documentation
- Advocate for students’ social, emotional, and behavioral development
- Support IEP/504 plan implementation as needed
