Job Description
A contracted social work position is available to provide telehealth services to K-12 students in a school setting located in Lake City, MI. This role focuses on delivering critical social work support remotely, addressing behavioral health needs and promoting student well-being across the full academic calendar year. Key responsibilities include: • Conducting telehealth assessments and counseling for students from kindergarten through 12th grade • Collaborating with school staff, families, and external providers to develop individualized support plans • Identifying and addressing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges affecting student success • Maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with confidentiality regulations • Providing crisis intervention and connecting students with community resources as needed Desired qualifications: • Licensed Social Worker credential valid for practice in Michigan • Experience in school-based social work or related fields • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and delivering remote behavioral health services • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with students, families, and educators • Ability to manage caseloads effectively within a K-12 environment This contract position spans the complete school year, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student mental health and educational outcomes in a supportive academic environment.
