Job Description
Position: Online Tutor (Writing, SAT Reading & Writing, Math and ESL)
We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic online tutors who can teach writing, SAT Prep (Writing & Reading), Math, and ESL via Zoom for 8th-12th grade students.
Requirements:
BA Degree related to Education, TESOL, English, or a Teaching Certificate (TESOL/CELTA/TEFL) for K-12
Minimum of 5 years teaching experience
Confident and clear verbal communication skills
Enthusiasm for working with elementary, middle, and high school students
Strong sense of responsibility
Quiet workspace
Strong communication skills for interacting with students
Windows-based computer with at least 2 GB of RAM
High-speed internet and good sound capabilities
Headset with a microphone
Consistent daily availability during peak demand times
Immediate availability to start
Responsibilities:
Teach favorite subjects to 8th-12th grade students
Prepare teaching materials and lesson plans
Punctuality and high... sense of responsibility
Correct grammar and pronunciation mistakes
Passionate about education
Schedule and Working Hours:
30-minute lessons, twice a week for one-on-one classes
1-hour lessons, once a week for group classes (up to 6 students)
Monday to Sunday between 4:00 PM EDT and 9:00 PM EDT: Subjects include writing, SAT prep (Reading and Writing), and Math.
Monday to Saturday between 5:00 AM EDT and 9:00 AM EDT: ESL classes for English learners
