Our client is seeking a highly strategic and results-oriented Operations Manager, Strategic Initiatives to join their esteemed organization in Richmond, Virginia, US . This role is pivotal in driving key operational projects from inception through successful implementation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration, coupled with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities. You will be instrumental in identifying opportunities for operational enhancement, developing strategic plans, and ensuring their effective execution. Responsibilities: Lead the planning, execution, and completion of complex operational projects and strategic initiatives. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation strategies. Identify operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and develop innovative solutions to address them. Collaborate closely with department heads and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and outcomes. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of strategic initiatives. Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management on project status and outcomes. Facilitate cross-functional team meetings, ensuring clear communication and effective decision-making. Drive process improvements and best practices across various operational functions. Conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned and inform future initiatives. Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations as required. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Champion change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new processes and systems. Contribute to the development of the overall strategic operational roadmap. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. MBA is a plus. 5-7 years of experience in operations management, project management, or strategic initiatives roles. Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex projects on time and within budget. Strong understanding of operational frameworks, process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma), and project management tools. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Asana, Jira, Microsoft Project). Experience with data analysis and reporting tools. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strategic mindset with a focus on delivering tangible business results.
