Job Description
Small but growing landlord-side practice looking for a DC-licensed attorney to handle eviction and rent collection matters. This role is focused on representing landlords in the DC Superior Court (Landlord & Tenant Branch), including nonpayment cases, lease violations, and post-judgment collections. Most hearings are virtual, but familiarity with DC court procedures is important. What Youโll Do Prepare and file nonpayment and breach of lease cases Appear at virtual hearings in DC Superior Court Draft motions, payment agreements, and related pleadings Handle writs, judgments, and collection efforts when appropriate Ensure documents meet DC requirements, including notarization where required Communicate directly with clients regarding case status and strategy What Weโre Looking For Active license to practice law in Washington, DC (required) Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple matters at once Able to work independently in a remote setting Prior landlord-tenant or collections experience is helpful but not required Recent graduates and newly admitted attorneys are welcome to apply This is a flexible, remote role. Compensation structure can be hourly or per case, depending on experience and availability.

Pay: $20.00 - $31.00 per hour
