Job Description
The Part-time bookkeeper and Administrative Assistant position works on-site to perform bookkeeping and administrative duties. The schedule is flexible, 24-30 hours per week.
Responsibilities
Ā Serve customers, vendors and employees in a very professional manner and provide excellent customer relations.
Ā Perform bank reconciliation
Ā Analyze customer invoice transaction reports by shipping method, ship-to location, customer sales tax status and verify proper sales tax rate was applied. Assist with filing sales tax returns.
Ā Contact customers with past-due invoices to provide copies of invoices and arrange payment.
Ā Verify customer credit applications
Ā Perform data-entry of inventory price changes
Ā Enter company credit card expenses
Ā Enter journal entries and adjustments as directed by the CPA firm.
Ā Transmit documents and files to the CPA firm as needed.
Ā Maintain professional personal appearance.
Ā Adhere to a consistent and reliable work schedule.
Ā Effectively perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
Ā Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Ā Good communication skills.
Ā Excellent interpersonal & customer relations skills.
Ā Good computer system knowledge.
Ā Proficient with QuickBooks Enterprise, Google Workplace, Gmail, Google Docs. Experience with MyPay Solutions for payroll and Bill.com for vendor payments is a plus.
Ā Solid understanding of State and Local sales tax.
Ā A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline, or a work history that demonstrates aptitude in this field.
Ā Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ā Excellent data entry and filing skills.
