Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere by greeting customers as they enter and exit the establishment.
- Operate cash registers and handle customer payments with accuracy and efficiency.
- Examine product prices, scan items, collect payments, and dispense accurate change amounts.
- Furnish proof of transaction, reimbursements, entry tickets, and currency exchange as needed.
- Resolve customer complaints and concerns by providing relevant information, guiding them to make informed decisions, and offering solutions to their problems.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout counter area at all times.
- Monitor transactions recorded on balance sheets and alert management of any discrepancies or inconsistencies.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a retail cashier or similar customer service position with verifiable experience.
- Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in operating electronic devices such as POS systems and cash registers.
- Strong math skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and time management abilities.
- Customer satisfaction-oriented with a strong focus on delivering exceptional service.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
