- *Job Responsibilities**
- As a Part Time Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:
- Providing exceptional customer service by dispatching emergency service calls, providing customers with emergency pricing, and answering, screening, and forwarding calls
- Creating and dispatching orders and dispatching technicians promptly to ensure timely resolution of customer issues
- Providing product and service information to customers, including routing calls to other team members for additional support
- De-escalating situations by offering patience and support to customers
- Analyzing data to determine answers to questions from customers or members of the public
- Providing information to customers about customer location, including the location of departments or offices, employees within the organization, or services provided
- Assisting in special projects assigned, including reports and analyzing data
- Special handling of customer support by tracking and follow-up information requests
- *Key Qualifications**
- To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Call Center or Customer Service experience (preferred)
- Excellent phone skills, including familiarity with working a multi-line phone system
- Excellent listening skills and an empathetic voice and manner
- Minimum typing ability of 30 words per minute
- Ability to learn and utilize new and existing computer software in a proficient and timely manner
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and multitask while assisting customers
- Desire and interest to learn about the life safety field (prior experience a plus)
- Entry-level knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, or any other specialty system needed to properly perform job functions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills, punctuality, and dependability

- *Physical Requirements**
- This role is remote with onsite training at our office in Elgin, IL. Sitting at a desk and speaking on the phone, using a computer are typical requirements of this role.
