The purpose of the Tutoring Center is to guide and support RVCC students as they become independent life-long learners. This accessible educational environment is furnished with a variety of tools that help students confidently develop the skills needed to reach their academic goals. Dedicated certified tutors and trained staff welcome a diverse community of students and provide free, quality service in accordance with faculty guidelines and objectives.
Job Requirements: Prospective tutors with advanced degrees, who are interested in tutoring in their subject of expertise, may be considered for hiring. Copies of transcripts and two letters of recommendation will be required after the first interview with the Director of the Tutoring Center. Must have a B+ or higher in their subject of expertise.
