Hiring Part-Time NY Attorney - Litigation Support, Trademarks, Contracts and Employment Drafting
Seeking to Hire Attorney – Litigation support & Contracts/Trademark/Employment Drafting
(Mainly Remote / New York Licensed)
Ideally available to attend court in NY City on occasion.
Donaldson Legal Counseling PLLC a NY law firm with a presence in MD and FL is seeking a part-time employee (20 hours + a week) New York–licensed attorney to support a growing practice. Litigation support, employment law, trademark and contract focused. The attorney must want substantive responsibility, be self-directed, take direction, and enjoy client interaction.
Practice Areas & Responsibilities
Litigation support in New York state courts, including:
Legal research and writing; Motion practice; Discovery support; Drafting pleadings, affidavits, and memoranda; Tracking deadlines;
Employment law matters, including: Handbook drafting, Legal compliance, Employer compliance questions
Contract drafting and review; Entity formation and governance
Client-facing advisory work
Managing assignments with minimal supervision and taking ownership of matters from start to finish with firm supporting.
Occasional in-person court appearances in Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan, as needed
Required Qualifications
Active New York bar license, in good standing
Prior litigation exposure
Strong legal research and writing skills
Ability to communicate clearly with clients and opposing counsel
Organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable handling multiple matters independently
Preferred Qualifications
3 years of post-admission experience including litigation exposure (ideal, flexible for the right candidate)
Work Structure
Remote position with in-person court appearances as required
Flexible schedule, with accountability for deliverables and deadlines
Compensation
$45/hour part-time employee role to start, excellent opportunity to expand role, increase rate and grow in future.
