As we expand our services in the Waukegan area, we are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Master's Level Counselor/Therapist to join our team and make a meaningful impact in the community.

Position Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate therapist to provide high-quality, client-centered mental health services. This part-time, remote position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work with a diverse population across age groups.

Responsibilities:

Our Waukegan Center is expanding, and we are looking to hire a part time Master's Level Counselor/Therapist to join our team. It will be remote. As a therapist you can make a difference in our community through your work as a mental health professional at GEC.
⦁ Provide mental health therapy for children, adolescent and adults,

⦁ Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment

⦁ Meeting with clients to help identify and treat emotional and psychological problems

⦁ Provide exercises and tools to help break negative patterns of thinking

⦁ Establishing relationships with clients

⦁ Promoting and supporting their clients’ mental health

⦁ Maintaining detailed and accurate records of each session with a client

⦁ Creating treatment plans for each individual in their care

⦁ Conducting assessments of each client’s progress

⦁ Working with clients’ families to help them offer the most appropriate support

⦁ Maintaining a working knowledge of the latest therapeutic techniques

⦁ Conduct initial assessments and refer patients, clients, or family members to psychiatrist or specialists as necessary

⦁ Plan outreach and bringing clients

⦁ Tasks assigned by Manager

    Requirements:
  • Master's degree in counseling, social work or related mental health field.
  • Desirable to possess an Illinois State License in clinical psychology or clinical related mental health field (MA in Counseling, MSW, MFT, LPC, LSW, LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT licenses are preferred).
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is desirable.
  • Substance abuse certification (CADC) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Any offer of employment is conditioned upon level of education, years of experience, training, and successful completion of background screening.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
