Our team is passionate about creating a unique and engaging shopping experience that exceeds our customers' expectations. **Job Summary** We're seeking highly motivated and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Part Time/Casual Customer Service & Sales Assistants. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, supporting sales efforts, and maintaining a high level of visual merchandising and inventory management. If you're a team player with a positive attitude and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences, we encourage you to apply. **Responsibilities** * Provide exceptional customer service, greeting and welcoming customers, and responding to their needs in a timely and professional manner * Demonstrate active selling skills, providing product information and guidance to customers, and making recommendations to enhance their shopping experience * Assist with visual merchandising, including setting up seasonal promotions and visual displays, and maintaining the appearance of the sales floor * Operate cash registers, assist customers with check-out, and execute cash handling procedures accurately and efficiently * Support inventory management, including receiving and processing incoming merchandise, and assisting with special orders and store-to-store shipping requests * Provide excellent communication and problem-solving skills to resolve customer inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner * Work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment * Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in your schedule, based on business needs and requirements **Qualifications** * Pleasant personality, excellent customer service skills, and a passion for working with the public * Moderate computer/systems competency, with experience in point-of-sale systems and inventory management software * Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management * Ability to occasionally climb ladders, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as needed, and stand for long periods of time * Prior retail sales experience is helpful but not required; students are not eligible to apply for this position * Familiarity with Cornell's COVID-19 workplace guidance and the university's COVID-19 services and information **What We Offer** * Competitive hourly rate, starting at $16.25/hour * Variable schedule, based on availability, business needs, and work performance; some nights, weekends, and holidays may be required * Opportunities for career growth and development, with training and support to help you succeed in your role * A dynamic and inclusive work environment, with a team of passionate and dedicated professionals * Access to a range of benefits and services, including employee wellness programs, workshops, and flexible work options **How to Apply** If you're a motivated and customer-focused individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
