About the position
- Responsibilities
- Assist in translating complex concepts, findings, and limitations into concise, plain language.
- Tie findings and conclusions into the agency mission and team objectives.
- Build the foundation of scientific and technical capabilities within FTA for data analytics projects.
- Educate others on technology, tools, and best practices.
- Test and evaluate new theories related to machine learning and predictive analytics.
- Conduct tests to measure data quality and compliance with internal policy.
- Perform data wrangling and develop recommendations to address data imperfections.
- Facilitate, communicate, and work collaboratively with individuals and groups.
- Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and meet Pathways Recent Graduate requirements.
- Experience in applying statistical and analytic methods to discover patterns for streamlining operations or improving programs.
- Experience with Python, R, SQL, or other analytical tools to develop analyses, reports, or data products.
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders in or outside of an organization.
- Education: Degree in Mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science, or a related field.
- Nice-to-haves
- Experience with advanced analytics techniques and AI.
