About the position

    Responsibilities
  • Assist in translating complex concepts, findings, and limitations into concise, plain language.
  • Tie findings and conclusions into the agency mission and team objectives.
  • Build the foundation of scientific and technical capabilities within FTA for data analytics projects.
  • Educate others on technology, tools, and best practices.
  • Test and evaluate new theories related to machine learning and predictive analytics.
  • Conduct tests to measure data quality and compliance with internal policy.
  • Perform data wrangling and develop recommendations to address data imperfections.
  • Facilitate, communicate, and work collaboratively with individuals and groups.
    Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and meet Pathways Recent Graduate requirements.
  • Experience in applying statistical and analytic methods to discover patterns for streamlining operations or improving programs.
  • Experience with Python, R, SQL, or other analytical tools to develop analyses, reports, or data products.
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders in or outside of an organization.
  • Education: Degree in Mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science, or a related field.
    Nice-to-haves
  • Experience with advanced analytics techniques and AI.
  • Familiarity with data governance and building a data culture.
