This role involves coordinating and overseeing all staff payroll functions, leading payroll processes, and ensuring efficient and compliant payroll operations. Responsibilities Establish, implement, and maintain payroll systems to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant payroll services Provide lead work direction and training to co-workers to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established procedures Develop, document, and implement standardized work procedures and policy updates to address operational needs and enhance payroll compliance Skills One (1) year of experience processing payroll.

Experience must demonstrate: Experience with financial systems (i.e., SEMA4, OBIEE) and applications, database, spreadsheets, and other office applications Experience with building, maintaining, and troubleshooting bolthires Excel spreadsheets to support accounting and payroll processes Experience resolving fiscal discrepancies and developing and implementing fiscal procedures Experience interpreting and analyzing fiscal data, reports, and records Experience with reconciliations and resolving variances or discrepancies OR Three (3) years of administrative support experience in the area of payroll processes that demonstrates the following: Experience entering information into various financial systems (i.e., SEMA4, OBIEE) and applications, database, spreadsheets, and other office applications Experience with building, maintaining, and troubleshooting bolthires Excel spreadsheets to support accounting and payroll processes Experience supporting the development and implementation of fiscal procedures Experience entering and creating fiscal data, reports, and records Experience with reconciliation and resolving variances or discrepancies Note: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related degree may substitute of 1 year of administrative support experience Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance or closely related field Healthcare accounting and/or other government accounting experience Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple demands under tight time constraints Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills Experience in performing individual or group presentations to explain, train, or negotiate Experience of SEMA4 Payroll system and state of Minnesota policies and procedures Knowledge of State of Minnesota and federal statutes Experience in documenting business practice and internal control procedures Knowledge of Accounting and Financial Reporting Standards High proficiency in bolthires Excel
