Role and Responsibilities of P&C Advisor:
- As an in-store P&C Advisor, you will be the P&C generalist for the store, acting as the key contact for People & Culture activities. You will work closely with the Store Manager and Retail Management to support all aspects of employee engagement, talent development, performance management, and colleague relations. Your role will help ensure operational excellence and a high level of colleague satisfaction.
- Execute and maintain in-store P&C activities such as hourly recruitment, onboarding, payroll, training & development, engagement & well-being, performance management, and colleague relations.
- Ensure compliance and accuracy for all P&C activities in line with Primark policies and local & federal legislation.
- Manage staffing levels through hourly recruitment and resource planning.
- Oversee the onboarding process and help deliver the Primark Induction/Welcome for new hires.
- Support payroll accuracy, managing adjustments and serving as the primary contact for colleague queries.
- Track and deliver core learning and mandatory training activities and records.
- Collaborate with the Area P&C Business Partner to align store P&C activity with global practices and policies.
- Coach and advise management on colleague relations, absences, return-to-work processes, and support complex investigations when necessary.
- Monitor and report on P&C metrics, including exit interviews, KPIs, and participate in store audits.
- Support commercial goals by contributing insights into how people operations impact the customer experience.
- Ensure good governance and best practices while complying with regulations and minimizing risk.
- Required Skills and Experience of P&C Advisor:
- 2+ years of HR Generalist/Operational experience.
- Professional HR certification is desirable.
- Experience coaching and influencing teams, empowering others through indirect leadership.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Good working knowledge of employment legislation and best practices.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen interest in developing commercial acumen.
- Experience in talent, performance, and change management.
- Retail experience or other customer-facing sectors with high colleague headcount.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally, with colleagues and customers.
- Compensation and Benefits of P&C Advisor:
- Salary range: $66,560 - $90,000, depending on experience and geographic region.
