Job Summary
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with pediatric experience to perform medical record reviews that support child health and welfare initiatives.
This Remote part-time role focuses on analyzing and summarizing pediatric medical records to assist case managers in identifying patterns related to potential neglect, trauma, or medical concerns.
Itβs ideal for nurses who excel in documentation, critical thinking, and independent work β with no direct patient care involved. Candidates for this position must reside in North Carolina; preferably in Charlotte, NC and surrounding counties.
- Responsibilities
- Review and summarize pediatric medical records and histories
- Identify relevant data, diagnoses, and treatment information
- Prepare written synopses and submit within required timelines
- Ensure factual, objective reporting consistent with review standards
- Maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline documentation workflows
- Qualifications
- Active RN license (NC)
- Pediatric or case management experience required
- Prior work in chart review, utilization review, or data abstraction preferred
- Must be a NC resident
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail
- Strong EMR experience (Epic, Cerner, Novant, or Atrium systems helpful)
- Able to manage a steady workload independently with accuracy and timeliness

Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Base Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 29.0 per week
