About the position The Pharmacy Technician at Molina Healthcare plays a crucial role in ensuring that members have access to necessary prescription drugs while adhering to cost-effective and safe practices. This position involves managing pharmacy benefit programs, including formulary management, clinical pharmacy services, and oversight of medication safety and use policies. Responsibilities β€’ Perform initial receipt and review of non-formulary or prior authorization requests against plan approved criteria. β€’ Request additional information from providers as needed to properly evaluate requests. β€’ Accurately enter online approvals or denials of requests. β€’ Make and carry out simple prior authorization requests within established policies and procedures. β€’ Participate in the development and administration of programs designed to enhance the utilization of targeted drugs and identify cost-saving pharmacy practices. β€’ Identify and report departmental operational issues and resource needs to appropriate management. β€’ Assist Molina Member Services, pharmacies, and health plan providers in resolving member prescription claim, prior authorization, or pharmacy services access issues. β€’ Articulate Pharmacy Management policies and procedures to pharmacy/health plan providers and other Molina staff. Requirements β€’ High School Diploma or GED equivalent β€’ 2 years' experience as a Pharmacy Technician β€’ Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician Certification Nice-to-haves β€’ Associate degree β€’ 3+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician Benefits β€’ Competitive benefits and compensation package Apply tot his job
