Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is hiring a Physician Assistant in Arcata, California.
- POSITION OVERVIEW
- Outpatient, panel-based Physician Assistant role serving patients with complex medical and preventative care needs
- Opportunity to practice mission-driven medicine within a collaborative coastal Northern California healthcare organization
- Integrated care environment with strong interdisciplinary support allowing providers to focus on patient-centered care delivery
- Access to behavioral health, chiropractic care, specialty consult services, and telehealth resources
- Structured onboarding and mentorship program designed to support provider success and long-term retention
- COMPENSATION
- Base Salary: $148,627.20 – $168,553.60
- $12,400 annual access bonus paid biweekly for meeting 9-patient clinic target
- Up to $44,000 annual production bonus potential
- Partnership-eligible providers:
- $25,000 sign-on bonus
- Structured retention bonus program
- Alternative sign-on and retention structure available for non-partnership track providers
- $10,000 relocation reimbursement
- Additional $10,000 relocation assistance available for qualifying parent or in-law relocation support
- SCHEDULE
- Full-time outpatient schedule
- Five 8-hour clinic shifts weekly
- CLINICAL SUPPORT MODEL
- 2 Medical Assistants assigned per provider
- 0.7 RN support per provider
- Integrated behavioral health services
- Chiropractic and specialty consult resources
- Telehealth support services
- BENEFITS
- 29 days paid time off including CME, holidays, and sick time
- $5,000 annual professional expense credit for licensing, DEA, CE, and equipment

- Laptop and cell phone provided
- Spanish language differential pay available
- NHSC and federal loan repayment eligibility ranging from $75,000 to $300,000 depending on program participation and service commitment Requirements
- Active California Physician Assistant license or ability to obtain REQUIRED
- Board Certified Physician Assistant REQUIRED
- Outpatient primary care experience preferred
- Three or more years of outpatient experience preferred
- Comfortable managing complex primary care patients within collaborative outpatient environment REQUIRED
- Passion for rural health and underserved patient populations strongly preferred
- Team-oriented and mission-driven mindset REQUIRED
- Spanish language skills are a plus and eligible for differential pay
