$23 per hour | Full-Time | Monday–Friday

Fun Nest Child Care is a fully licensed early learning program in Erie, Colorado, serving children in age-appropriate classrooms. Our preschool classroom is professionally designed with dedicated space architecturally separated from residential areas, ensuring a structured and focused learning environment.
We operate with the same professional standards as center-based programs, including structured curriculum planning, licensing compliance, documented assessments, and strong family partnerships.

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Preschool & Pre-K Lead Teacher (ages 3–5) who can confidently lead a classroom, implement curriculum with intention, and maintain high professional standards.
This role requires strong classroom leadership, professional judgment, organization, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high accountability.
- Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum for children ages 3–5
- Align lesson planning with Colorado Early Learning & Development Guidelines
- Maintain full compliance with Colorado licensing, health, and safety standards
- Conduct ongoing observations and developmental assessments
- Prepare for and lead family conferences
- Maintain structured classroom routines that balance academics, social-emotional learning, and play
- Foster inclusive practices that support diverse learners
- Collaborate professionally with staff and administration
- Maintain organized documentation and classroom systems
- Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a licensed early childhood setting (Preschool/Pre-K preferred)
- Strong knowledge of child development (ages 3–5)
- Early Childhood Education coursework, CDA, or related credentials preferred
- Must meet Colorado Lead Teacher qualifications (minimum ECE coursework or CDA certification with relevant experience)
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and classroom management abilities
- Ability to work independently while maintaining accountability and high standards
