- Our premier professional services client is seeking a Principal Consultant, Data Governance to lead hands-on governance initiatives, support metadata cataloging, and guide clients in embedding stewardship into their daily workflows. This role blends technical execution with strategic facilitation — ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of data, process, and people.
- *What You’ll Do**
- Facilitate governance working groups and align business + technical stakeholders
- Execute metadata management: cataloging, lineage, stewardship workflows
- Coach client staff on stewardship practices and sustainable governance
- Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and business owners to embed governance into platforms and pipelines
- Contribute to privacy and compliance efforts (GDPR, CCPA)
- *What You Bring**
- 5+ years in data governance, metadata, or related roles
- Hands-on experience with catalog/metadata tools: Atlan (Must Have) or Alation (Nice to have)
- Strong communication skills — able to lead workshops and write clear documentation
- Experience with governance operating models and stewardship practices
- Expert level knowledge of privacy regulations and how governance supports compliance
- Experience building training guides, playbooks, or adoption materials
- Must have professional services experience
- Must have large enterprise experience
