Overview
The coding opportunity includes a Case Mix, and Specific chart types: 50% of the time in Critical care and the other 50% doing Family Medicine
Productivity Expectations: standard AAPC guidelines 13-15 E&M per hour and 3-5 surgeries per hour
This is a full time position - hours must by M-F Day time hours.
System: Epic and 3M 360
- Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare professionals in monitoring and managing patient care in critical environments.
- Maintain accurate medical records, ensuring all documentation is compliant with regulations.
- Utilize knowledge of ICD-10 coding systems for accurate medical billing and collections.
- Support the medical office with various administrative tasks related to patient care and record management.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations within the critical care unit.
- Perform routine checks on medical equipment and assist in maintaining a sterile environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care procedures and protocols.
- Experience
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical billing, collections, and coding practices is highly desirable.
- Proficient understanding of medical terminology, DRG systems, and relevant coding standards (ICD-10, ICD-9).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating independence when necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $31.00 per hour

- Pro-fee coding: 2 years (Preferred)
