We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive temporary Procurement Specialist to. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the purchasing process of goods and services, ensuring the organization acquires the necessary products and services at the best possible price while maintaining high quality and timely delivery. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline the procurement process, manage contracts, and uphold compliance with company policies and regulations. Please note: this is a short-term, contract position from May to September 2025 and is not eligible for company benefits.

Responsibilities • Oversee the entire procurement process and lifecycle in Zip. • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and industry standards. • Identify and mitigate potential risks in the procurement process. • Continuously evaluate procurement processes and suggest improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve the overall procurement function. • Drive supplier diversity initiatives to promote inclusive practices in the supply chain. • Develop and maintain trusted stakeholder relationships across Finance, Corporate IT, Security, Legal, HR, and AP teams.

• Serve as a thought leader to drive continuous improvement across the company. • Establish, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for procurement activities. Requirements • 5+ years' experience in procurement management, including professional services and software vendors required. • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field or equivalent experience. • Procure-to-pay admin tool usage and expense, with strong preference for Zip knowledge or experience. • Experience with Sage Intacct, Workday Adaptive, Zip or similar accounting and finance tools preferred.

• Proficient in Excel reporting. • Strong written, presentation, and verbal communications skills. • Familiarity with common process improvement methodologies and governance models. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines simultaneously. • Excellent communicator that can interact with diverse groups across organizational levels. Nice-to-haves • Experience working in SaaS industry preferred. • Prefer someone local to Austin, TX although fully remote possible for a strong candidate.
