Role Summary Provide leadership in a defined Retail Production (Sales) environment to serve homeowners, communities, employees, and shareholders equally. Though this is an Operations role, the primary focus is to lead a Sales Support team to deliver a best-in-class internal and external customer experience, as required in a Sales organization. Candidate must possess ability to balance concurrent needs to remain flexible to production yet retain quality, risk, and expense controls necessary to the organization. Retail Production Manager will be a hybrid of duties required of several operations and sales manager’s job descriptions- underpinning reliance on this role to drive Production, winning the right way. Basic knowledge of all aspects of the mortgage lending, servicing or operational policies and practices. • Oversee all assigned branch/area operations. • Work cohesively with employees and management to ensure proficient file and processing standards are met. • Regularly meet with processing to account for production standards and ensure pipeline accuracy. • Administer all company internal, external rules, HR polices, Employee handbook guidance, and any all other policy provisions that protect the soundness of the company. • Carry oneself in a positive and dignified manner; representing the company and community with integrity. • Lead all team employees in all operational technology facets including, but not limited to LOS, BI, HRIS, and H3. • Organize and host routine branch and team meetings to insure company announcements and communication levels are flowing between all employee levels. • Insure optimum performance levels between sales and operations. • Assist the Branch Manager with adjusting staff levels as needed. • Managing specific budgets as requested by Management. • Establish and maintain processing/lead generation standards and expectations. This includes setting standard procedural methods of processing throughout all branches and training of new processors to ensure a continuity and integrity of file setup and delivery. • Point of contact for any Processing or Loan Originator questions regarding specific file condition issues. Work with Processors, Loan Originators, and Underwriting to work through any problematic conditions. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree preferred. 10-15 years of equivalent experience in mortgage banking with emphasis on retail sales, processing, and underwriting. Minimum 5 years in a supervisory role. Leadership experience preferred. Skills: Ability to effectively present information, both orally and written, and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public. Ability to use Microsoft Office Excel and Word at intermediate level. Able to send and receive emails. Able to use a calculator to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and percentages. Able to multi task in a fast-paced environment, striving for 100% accuracy on every file. Must keep records neat and organized to ensure clear representation of work. Must be able to adapt to change in the work environment and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously.
