About the position
- Responsibilities
- Advise and supervise a diverse group of student leaders in the creation, development, implementation, execution, and assessment of campus events.
- Provide education, training, and support to student employees through the program planning process.
- Develop partnerships with other University and Student Life departments.
- Coordinate training for student staff on financial management, event planning, and university policies.
- Develop a UUWeekly programming plan and a bi-weekly programming plan for UMix Late Night.
- Organize campus traditions and events, ensuring compliance and safety.
- Manage a student programming budget totaling over $300,000 and advise students on fund allocation.
- Conduct assessments of student learning related to Student Life Leadership Education outcomes.
- Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 1-3+ years experience with co-curricular student involvement as a student or professional
- Experience collaborating and building healthy working relationships with individuals from diverse cultures, backgrounds, and life experiences.
- Nice-to-haves
- Master's degree in Higher Education, College Student Affairs or related field
- An understanding of and commitment to the college union philosophy
