Job Description
Boston Children's Hospital is a leading healthcare institution dedicated to providing exceptional care and research in pediatric medicine. They are seeking a Program Coordinator I for their Orthopedic Surgery and Research department to coordinate activities and daily operations of the program, assist in proposal preparations, and maintain communication with staff and external agencies.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates activities and daily operations of a program
- May prepare or assist in preparation of proposal for funding and/or funding continuation from outside sponsors
- Confers with staff and others to provide technical advice, provide problem solving assistance and answer questions about the program and its goals. Refers inquiries to others as needed
- May prepare or assists in the preparation of periodic reports and records on program activities, progress, status or other special reports for management or outside agencies
- May review applications or other program documents in conjunction with supervisor to determine acceptance or make decisions pertaining to program
- May assist in the coordination of recruitment efforts
- Drafts written communication and promotional literature
- May assist in planning workshops, meetings or conferences; coordinates logistics, scheduling and participant communications
- Interacts and maintains liaison with staff, faculty and outside/community agencies in facilitating program objectives
Skills
- Associate's or equivalent experience
- 1 year of relevant experience
- The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations
- The ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies
