Position Overview

TriMerge Consulting Group, P.A. is seeking a Program Director to lead the execution and operations of a statewide initiative supporting Florida’s ocean economy in partnership with a Florida university.

This role will serve as the operational lead, responsible for aligning multi-stakeholder efforts, overseeing program delivery, and ensuring that all activities, reporting, and outcomes meet the expectations of university leadership and public sector stakeholders.

This is a high-visibility role requiring both strategic oversight and hands-on execution.

    Key Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day operations of a multi-stakeholder, statewide program
  • Serve as primary liaison to a Florida university leadership and key stakeholders
  • Oversee execution across policy, workforce, stakeholder engagement, and reporting workstreams
  • Ensure alignment with strategic priorities, timelines, and program objectives
  • Establish and maintain program governance, workflows, and accountability structures
  • Oversee development of reports, policy briefs, and executive-level deliverables
  • Identify risks, resolve issues, and maintain program momentum
    Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Economics, or related field is preferred
  • Approximately 8–12+ years of relevant experience in program management, public sector consulting, economic development, or policy-related work
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives, preferably at a regional or statewide level
  • Experience working with or alongside government entities, higher education institutions, or public-private partnerships
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and diverse stakeholder groups
