The California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is seeking a Program Support Analyst to join their diverse team. This role involves performing complex analytical duties and providing staff assistance on sensitive departmental and program matters, contributing to large-scale health initiatives. Responsibilities Perform complex and varied analytical duties Provide staff assistance on sensitive departmental and program matters Work independently and maintain working relationships with numerous internal and external partners Evaluate OSP needs and provide recommendations to management Collaborate closely with team members and internal/external partners to contribute to the successful implementation of large-scale initiatives Skills Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills Demonstrate a high degree of initiative, independence and organization Knowledge of current office methods and procedures with particular reference to the work done by the OSP Experience supporting complex behavioral health programs, including overseeing data collection systems, developing or monitoring contracts and grants, and ensuring program or fiscal compliance with state and federal regulations Knowledge of the public behavioral health system, including delivery systems and services Knowledge of the principles and practices of federal and state policies for Medicare and Medicaid Ability to develop new processes and procedures for a new program area Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal/external stakeholders Ability to multi-task and adapt to a changing environment; functioning effectively under demanding and competing deadlines and priorities Ability to work on confidential and sensitive assignments and exercise a high degree of initiative, independence, sound judgment in performing assigned tasks Ability to analyze situations and adopt effective courses of actions and/or processes Ability to conduct independent research and make recommendations to leadership Knowledge and experience related to federal and state regulatory and legislative processes Effective communication, business acumen, decision making, and problem-solving skills Ability to use sound decision-making skills while working in a fast-paced work environment Benefits Continuous and ongoing training Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion program activities Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Medical, including health, dental, and vision insurance.
