Job Description
Alpha Omega is an award-winning Federal IT solutions provider dedicated to delivering mission-enabling technology and strategic solutions across various domains. They are seeking a Programmer Analyst to develop and maintain progressive web applications, capture business requirements, and modernize existing applications while effectively communicating with project leadership and staff.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrable proficiency with:Progressive Web Applications
- JSON
- SQL back ends
- JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, XML, HTML5, CSS, SOAP based Web Services
- Support the development and application of best-practices, program standards and conventions
- Ability to analyze and refactor existing code to enhance performance, functionality and maintainability
- Familiarity with all aspects of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and the ability to support all phases of the SDLC including O&M support and disposition
- Enthusiasm, positive attitude, superb work ethic, attention to detail and ability to work on a variety of projects as a team player are necessary
- This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, and time-management skills
- Successful candidate must clear a background screen
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related scientific or technical degree; or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of direct experience in application development
- Prior production support and software O&M experience
- Version control systems (SVN, Git)
- Demonstrable proficiency with: Progressive Web Applications, JSON, SQL back ends, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, XML, HTML5, CSS, SOAP based Web Services

- Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and/or APEX certifications

- Prior experience working in a government setting
