About the position

    Responsibilities
  • Support Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and program management in Risk and Opportunity Management activities, including the use of LM tools to capture, track and communicate Risks and Opportunities to the program and Mission Segment
  • Facilitate Program and Business Area Risk and Opportunities Management Board (ROMB) meetings, and help deliver Risk and Opportunity training as necessary
  • Assess impact of Risks and Opportunities on program schedules and work plans
  • Coordinate the risk assessments and mitigation planning throughout Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)
  • Ensure Risk and Opportunity Management is coordinated across Program and major suppliers
    Requirements
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related field, or equivalent experience/ined education with ensurate years of professional experience
  • Familiarity with Systems Engineering development processes and phases of development lifecycle (proposal, design, qualification, requirements verification/validation, production and deployed system support)
  • Familiarity with the Risk and Opportunity Management Processes and/or associated Tools
  • Proficiency with standard documentation and presentation tools
  • Ability to articulate detailed technical and programmatic issues to subordinates, peers, management and customers
  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance
    Nice-to-haves
  • Experience with Risk and Opportunity Management tools and processes
  • Systems Engineering experience on Missile or space systems
  • Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external customers and executive leadership
  • Strong communication and social skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with team members and build consensus among peers
  • Basic understanding of systems thinking techniques
  • Effectively manage change
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
