ROLE SUMMARY
We are seeking a Project Manager who excels at managing complex initiatives at the intersection of project delivery and data governance. This role ensures that enterprise programs are executed with precision while maintaining strong oversight of data quality and compliance. The Project Manager will enhance how our organization leverages data by leading cross-functional efforts, improving governance structures, and ensuring projects deliver measurable business value.
In this position, you will drive enterprise-level projects with significant data dependencies, partner closely with technical and business stakeholders, and embed governance best practices into every phase of execution. You will help teams make informed decisions by ensuring visibility, consistency, and accuracy in the data that supports major initiatives.
- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead end to end delivery of enterprise projects with significant data driven components
- Implement and mature governance frameworks across data quality, metadata, stewardship, and compliance
- Partner with data engineering, architecture, analytics, and business leaders to ensure consistent data standards
- Track and report project performance using KPI dashboards, governance metrics, and executive level scorecards
- Facilitate decision making forums, steering committees, and governance councils
- Identify and resolve risks related to data dependencies, lineage, quality issues, and cross team ownership
- Ensure all project deliverables follow established governance controls including security, privacy, and change management requirements
- Drive adoption of data enabled delivery best practices across project teams
- KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 7+ years of project management experience supporting enterprise scale initiatives
- Strong background in data governance, data quality management, or metadata frameworks
- Experience delivering projects with significant data dependencies including analytics, MDM, data platforms, and cloud technologies
- Proven ability to influence senior leaders and align cross functional teams
- Experience with PMO governance including stage gates, risk and issue logs, and compliance checkpoints
- Solid understanding of data architecture concepts including lineage, cataloging, sourcing, and integrations
- Advanced skills using project tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, and Smartsheet along with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- PMP or equivalent project delivery certification preferred
- SOFT SKILLS
- Executive presence with confidence in engaging VP level and senior stakeholders
- Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex data concepts
- Effective negotiation and influence skills across both technical and business teams
