Project Manager – Shopify & E-Commerce (Agency Side)

About the Role
We are looking for a structured and driven Project Manager with hands-on experience in Shopify and digital commerce projects within an agency environment.
You will manage small-to-mid sized Shopify implementations and support larger, complex programs under the guidance of senior delivery leadership. This role requires strong organization, clear communication, and the ability to keep momentum across cross-functional teams.
You should understand how agency commerce projects move — from discovery to launch — and be comfortable managing timelines, tasks, and client communications in fast-paced environments.
What You Will Work On
- Shopify and Shopify Plus implementations
- Store redesigns and feature enhancements
- B2C and light B2B workflows
- App integrations and API-based connections
- ERP and third-party system integrations (supporting senior PMs when complex)
- Phased rollouts and launch support
Core Responsibilities
1. Project Coordination & Execution
- Manage assigned projects from kickoff to launch.
- Maintain timelines, task boards, and delivery documentation.
- Track progress and ensure deliverables stay aligned with scope.
- Support discovery workshops and requirement documentation.
- Ensure action items are captured and followed through.
2. Client Communication
- Run weekly status calls for assigned accounts.
- Prepare structured status reports (progress, risks, decisions needed).
- Escalate risks early to senior leadership when necessary.
- Maintain professional and proactive communication.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with developers, designers, QA, and integration teams.
- Translate business requirements into actionable tickets.
- Ensure tickets have clear acceptance criteria.
- Follow up to remove bottlenecks and maintain velocity.
4. Scope & Budget Awareness
- Monitor hours against budget.
- Flag potential scope creep early.
- Support change order documentation.
- Maintain delivery discipline without over-promising.
5. Risk & Issue Tracking
- Maintain RAID logs.
- Identify risks before they escalate.
- Propose practical mitigation plans.
- Escalate appropriately when complexity exceeds role authority.
Required Experience
- 2–4 years of experience managing digital projects in an agency setting
- Direct exposure to Shopify projects
- Basic understanding of e-commerce workflows (catalog, checkout, payments, fulfillment)
- Familiarity with integrations and APIs (conceptually)
- Experience using project management tools (Jira, Asana, ClickUp, Monday, etc.)
- Comfortable working with distributed teams
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting platform migrations
- Exposure to B2B commerce
- Familiarity with ERP integrations
- Understanding of Agile delivery practices
- Experience participating in client workshops
- French speaking
