Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager to lead and coordinate all aspects of project execution. This role requires full ownership of project scheduling, financial & productivity performance, change management, and overall project delivery.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day project activities to ensure timely and successful completion
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, and resources
- Identify and manage project risks, changes, and issues
- Maintain financial accountability throughout the project lifecycle
- Serve as the primary point of contact between internal teams, clients, and engineering partners
- Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget
- Essential Duties:
- Obtain the bidding documents and other pertinent information from the estimator.
- Manage and estimate change orders on existing contracts.
- Coordinate the collection and dissemination of all contract information required by the owner, general contractor, and the job superintendent.
- Determines from the specifications the quality parameters and any special safety requirements for each project.
- Responsible for all field surveys and documentation thereof.
- Prepares and maintains the erection plan as part of the project site-specific plan.
- Responsible for the logistics of manpower, tools, and equipment for each job.
- Determines delivery and erection sequences.
- Prepares and maintains project schedules and is responsible for the attainment of on-time completion.
- Communicates contract requirements to subcontractors, job superintendent, equipment manager, crane supplier, etc.
- Responsible for transmitting the requirements of the contract safety and quality systems to the field forces at the job site.
- Manages activities related to drawing distribution.
- Develops and processes requests for information through the project system.
- Coordinates shipping requirements between the field and suppliers and subcontractors.
- Job cost reporting, Monthly P&L/WIPS
- Create, manage, and update schedules
- Ensure job processes are followed in accordance with company policy.
- Comply with and enforce all ASPE policies and procedures, OSHA rules and regulations, and any other applicable laws.
- Qualifications:
- Proven experience with a minimum of 5 years as a Project Manager within the steel industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project
- Experience with Sage software is a plus
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders
